Football Card Storage
The most important thing to consider after you make your card purchase is how you are going to store them. Football cards can be a great investment so you must make sure to protect your invest as a damaged card is not worth as much as a card in mint condition.The main types of storage supplies you will want to consider are:
Soft Sleeves - Low priced, clear plastic (soft) sleeves.
Top Loaders - These are a harder type of plastic and therefor more durable. Many people put a card in a soft sleeve and then slide it into a top loader.
Storage Boxes - These boxes come in several sizes, but in general they are specific to holding trading cards. Some cards fit top loaders and some are smaller and fit the soft sleeved cards. Great for packing away cards or holding complete sets.
Albums with Pages - Just like a picture album, cards can be slid into the plastic pages and held inside the album. Great for displaying groups of cards.
Screw Down Cases - These are normally reserved for the most expensive cards. A very sturdy plastic case that is closed and screwed shut for maximum protection of a valuable card.
