The Bowman Draft Picks hobby box is a very affordable way to collect a large number of football rookie cards from this year's draft.  In the past this set was known simply as Bowman, but with the rising popularity of the NFL draft and pressure from competition, Topps has added a special set strictly for draft picks and an early release date - at the same time, dropping its Topps Draft Picks and Prospects set from the market.

Overall, Bowman Draft Picks is a fine set to own and a great hobby box to pick up if you are into collecting rookie cards, as this set features top draft picks still in their college uniforms.  More experienced collectors may hold out until later in the year to pick up a box of Bowman Chrome, but I think this is a great hobby box to pick up to start the football season.
