Bowman Chrome is the most popular set for rookie card collectors.  The set is a continuation of the base Bowman football card set with exciting rookie cards from all of the top rookies in the game.  Many people feel that Bowman Chrome is the most worthwhile set in the football card industry.  You may pay a bit more than you pay for the Topps base set, but these hobby boxes always delivers good cards for your money.  This set provides one of the most positive football card box breaks of any set found on this site.

The 2008 Bowman Chrome set features 55 rookie cards of today's top young stars, including rookie cards from Darren McFadden, Jonathan Stewart, and Matt Ryan.  The set also includes 110 cards from NFL veterans such as Ben Roethlisberger.



The 2009 Bowman Chrome set again comes with 165 cards, 55 of them being rookie cards.  The set has one rookie autographed card and five Refractor cards per hobby box. The Rookie Autographs subset features 50 players.  The set will be released later in the year to allow for collectors to have a better idea of what rookies to look out for this season.
